TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People, previously two separate charities providing  free tax advice for people who can’t afford or otherwise access the help they needed, now operate as a single charity.

We provide the same service, helping beneficiaries of all ages to understand their tax position and investigate and resolve their tax issues.

Our work prevents people falling into further financial hardship by ensuring their tax is calculated correctly and any incorrect tax debt is cancelled.

The Bridge the Gap campaign was started as a joint fundraising campaign for TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People, with funds shared equally between the two separate charities and in so doing, supporting those of all ages with a tax problem. 

Following the merger of TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People the campaign remains open and is an essential source of the funds that are needed to provide support to our beneficiaries.

There are currently no operational changes planned as a consequence of the merger therefore  funds donated to Bridge the Gap will continue to be applied to provide the same help and support to our beneficiaries of all ages, just as they have been in the past.
